Quality Assurance & Return Policy

We sell our wood as is, as you see it. All of our wood is guaranteed to be air dried and ready to turn, unless specifically marked with instructions as to how much longer the wood must dry. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact us.

We require phone consultations with you before selling any of our Screwbean Mesquite, and feathered, blanks. These blanks are very, very difficult to cut, cure, and handle, and many of the Screwbean blanks are down to minimum dimensions. We want to ensure that the blank we sell you meets the dimensions your custom gun maker will require for your project. We do this because we want to eliminate problems up front. Sales of Screwbean Mesquite blanks are final.

International orders, Screwbean Mesquite blank orders, and M-style blank orders are final. For US-based orders, we accept returns for 3 days after receipt on non-machined pieces of wood, the price of the blank refunded when we receive the return. Sales are final after 3 days. Please note that if the piece of wood has been machined, or cracked due to bad handling or sun exposure, we cannot accept the return. If you wish to swap out the wood instead of receive a refund, we will swap out a piece of wood one time, within the 3 day window and if the wood meets the above non-machined and not damaged criteria.

In rare cases, there are flaws in the interior of the wood that will not be seen or uncovered until the blank is shaped and inletted by your custom gun maker. In these cases, we will work with your custom gun maker to discount, refund, or exchange your blank. We need to be contacted by your gun maker regarding these issues after the blank has been shaped and inletted, but before the gun maker has started to sand and work the wood. If your gun maker has already started to sand or work your blank without letting you know there is a flaw, or expects that you will be happy with his handling of such a flaw without consulting with you first, we cannot then be held responsible for the problem after this point.

 

Selling Policy

Online credit card information is protected through encryption and a highly secure online transmission process. We use an SSL certificate and utilize Authorize.net as our payment gateway. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards from US-based Issuing Banks. We also accept US-based checks. Checks must fully clear before your products will ship. For International orders, we accept wire transfers. Please contact us to arrange payment for your International order and we will provide you with wire transfer information.

 

Secure Shopping

You can shop at www.oldtreegunblanks.com online with confidence. We have partnered with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996, to offer safe and secure credit card and electronic check transactions for our customers.

 

 

Shipping Policy

We ship contiguous 48 state orders via FedEx Ground, and we ship International, Alaska, and Hawaii orders via the US Postal Service (USPS). Shipping fees of $20 per blank and $5 per accent piece are added to orders shipped to the contiguous 48 states. For international orders, Alaska and Hawaii, shipping fees of $80.00 US per blank and $25 US per accent piece are added to your order. We insure each blank to its full value. If you wish to have your International order shipped via a different carrier or in a faster manner, the above fees do not apply and we will provide you with a quote.

 

Privacy Policy

We take your privacy very seriously. We do not sell or give away any information about our customers whatsoever. We also only store your credit card information for the length of time it takes to authorize your purchase, at which point it is removed from our database.

 

Customer Service Assurance

We return email and phone messages within 48 business hours, and usually much quicker than this. Sometimes questions can be answered quickly and other times we need to look into how to answer your questions. It is important to us to give you complete and fully researched answers to your questions. We appreciate your patience in these situations.
